Asset Role Type

Kinds of responsibility a party holds for a physical asset. Operation, upkeep and registered keeping are not ownership. A source may use its own scheme instead.

keeper | Registered keeper | The party registered as responsible for the asset, such as the registered keeper of a vehicle. It need not be the owner. | |
operator | Operator | The party that runs the asset or the activity carried out at it, whether or not it owns the asset. | |
owner | Owner | The party that owns the asset. | |
upkeep | Upkeep | The party that maintains or repairs the asset without operating or owning it through this role. |
