UNESCO UIS ISCED 2011 — Operational Manual (Chapter 4, Management and Funding) (https://uis.unesco.org/en/topic/international-standard-classification-education-isced)

UNESCO UIS distinguishes government-managed, government-aided private, independent private, and international institutions in the ISCED operational manual. This vocabulary maps to those categories at the school level. The 'faith-based' and 'community' codes are commonly used in humanitarian and development contexts (e.g. Education Cluster 4W reporting) and correspond broadly to the UIS independent private / non-government categories.
