An administrative document that records civil-status facts about one or more persons. Distinct from the concepts (Birth, Marriage, Death, etc.) that describe the underlying events themselves: those are the occurrences; CivilStatusDocument is the paper or electronic artefact that attests to or summarises them. Examples include a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, and a family register (livret de famille, koseki, hukou).
