health:Health Facility
https://publicschema.org/health/HealthFacility
A service point where clinical or preventive health services are delivered, such as a hospital, health center, health post, dispensary, specialty clinic, pharmacy, or diagnostic laboratory. HealthFacility specializes ServicePoint for the health sector and carries additional properties for facility type (SARA/HHFA category) and facility level (primary / secondary / tertiary / quaternary tier of care). HealthFacility is distinct from the Organization that owns or manages it (captured via managed_by) and from its administrative site (captured via located_at): the organization can change without the physical facility moving, and a facility can serve several administrative Locations. Facility typology references the WHO Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) and the Harmonized Health Facility Assessment (HHFA) taxonomies.

Evidence
Present in 2 of 6 mapped delivery systems.
HealthFacility is informed primarily by two WHO-maintained non-PublicSchema systems: the Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) Reference Manual, which defines the canonical facility-type taxonomy, and the Harmonized Health Facility Assessment (HHFA), which consolidates and extends SARA alongside the Service Delivery Indicators (SDI) into a unified assessment framework. Neither of the six v1 convergence systems (OpenCRVS, openIMIS, OpenSPP, DHIS2, DCI, SEMIC) carries a first-class HealthFacility concept at this level of specification, though DHIS2 organisation units and openIMIS health facility records cover adjacent responsibilities. A broader convergence pass including HeRAMS and national health facility registries is expected to raise the system_count.

| FHIR R5 | Location | close |
| A FHIR R5 Location with mode instance and a site or building physical form describes the same physical place where care is delivered. FHIR Location also covers rooms, beds, vehicles and location kinds. managed_by relates to Location.managingOrganization, which is the organization responsible for provisioning and upkeep, but is not an exact mapping; the clinical provider of a service is HealthcareService.providedBy. | ||
| schema.org | MedicalOrganization | |
| schema.org MedicalOrganization is an organization that provides medical services, and is also used for the place where they are delivered. PublicSchema separates them: HealthFacility is the physical facility, and the operating Organization is referenced via managed_by. | ||
