Supertypes

Properties

Property Type Definition
Identity
Name from Party string
The full display name of the record. Depending on the concept, this is a person's or group's name, or the title of a program, instrument, scoring rule, or software product.
Identifiers from Party concept:Identifier
Identifiers carried by this entity, such as national ID numbers, program IDs, or identifiers asserted by an identity document.
Identity documents from Party concept:IdentityDocument
Identity documents held by this party, such as passports, national identity cards, civil registration certificates, and program-issued beneficiary cards.
Administrative
Group type from Group string (group-type)
An interoperability classifier for the category of group record being exchanged or exported. In native PublicSchema modeling, the concrete Group subtype is the authoritative signal when known.
Formation date from Group date The date on which this group was formed or registered.
Member count from Group integer The total number of members in this household or group.
Memberships from Group concept:GroupMembership
The membership links connecting persons to this group, each carrying role and lifecycle dates.
Demographics
Pregnant or lactating women count integer
The number of pregnant or lactating women currently living in the household. Used by humanitarian programs to size nutrition, health, and protection interventions (PLW-targeted food rations, antenatal care outreach, MIYCN counselling). Recorded at household level because the eligibility unit for most PLW programming is the household, not the individual; an individual-level pregnancy_status property is also available on Person for case-management workflows.
Location
Address concept:Address The physical or postal address associated with this household.
Location concept:Location
The geographic location of the subject of this record, captured as coordinates or administrative area.
Food Security
Food security level string (food-security-level)
A coarse current-state summary of the household's food insecurity, used by operational systems for targeting and referral queries. This is NOT the raw output of a specific food-security assessment instrument: item-level responses (FCS, rCSI, LCS, HDDS, FIES, HHS, MDD-W, MAHFP) belong on a dedicated food-security profile published in a sibling schema (see ADR-011). Populate food_security_level from a Profile only by citing the instrument and cutoff rule that produced the band via a ScoringEvent; otherwise treat it as a self-declared or enumerator-judged summary.
Other
Chronic illness in household boolean
Whether any household member is reported to have a chronic illness or long-term medical condition (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, HIV, TB, asthma). Recorded at household level for vulnerability triage and case-management referral; the specific condition and the affected member are recorded on Person-scoped or program-specific records, not here.

Evidence

Present in 4 of 6 mapped delivery systems.

No OpenCRVS or standalone OpenIMIS match. Detailed point-in-time socio-economic and living-conditions data (dwelling, WASH, energy, assets, ICT, income source, settlement type) lives on SocioEconomicProfile records; Household keeps only identity, location, and a coarse food_security_level current-state summary. Practitioner review confirmed that operational social registries commonly read a current-state food-security flag off the household record even when the survey evidence is stored separately.

Standard Equivalent Match
Core Person N/A none
SEMIC Core Person does not define a household concept. Residence-related data attaches to Person via address.
DCI Core N/A none
DCI does not define a standalone household entity. Household-like grouping is handled through Group with role-based membership.
